About Me

Jessa Brantley

Jessa is a woodworker, turner, and artist behind Beloved Designs Woodworking. Her work centers on salvaged and redeemed materials, with a particular love for the wild beauty of burl wood. She's drawn to imperfection, knots, scars, and grain patterns that tell stories, && she lets the material lead, allowing each piece to take shape through the process rather than strict design. For her, creating is a spiritual practice, an act of listening, honoring, and collaborating with the material. Her style blends clean lines with an instinctive resistance to traditional constraints, often creating forms that feel both familiar and unconventional. Whether she's turning bowls or shaping furniture, Jessa is most at home in the shop, covered in shavings and following wherever the wood leads.

Each piece I create is a reflection of my journey, infused with love, care, and the unique story of its creation. Thank you for visiting my page, and I hope my work resonates with you, bringing a piece of my world into your home.

Warmly,
Jessa

My Craftsmanship Philosophy

At Beloved Designs, I believe that creating is an act of worship, a testimony that we are His! I like to think all of my creations honor and glorify the Creator.

I have been so blessed with the ability and skills to see His beauty and truth in the world, and cant help but share!

The majority of my wood is REDEEMED. Where the world says it isn't good for it's intended purpose because *insert some "flaw"*, I get to make something BEAUTIFUL out of it. When it comes to my products, I don't believe in imperfections; I intentionally and thoughtfully highlight the special characteristics of His creation!

Each item is made with REAL wood and will have it’s own unique appearance. Wood has knots and cracks naturally, which adds to it’s character. Stain, paint, and finish shades will vary depending on the type of wood that is used. Each piece is truly one of a kind, and will vary slightly because of this.

Most of the wood is locally, sustainably sourced, and has been kiln dried. I sell surfaced, finished slabs as well as custom handcrafted furniture including coffee tables, end tables, desks and shelves, and handcrafted cutting boards and serving trays, boxes etc.
